Jain Dental was looking for a design-build team to help them move clinics from Plymouth to Wayzata. They were under a tight timeline and needed to move fast.
Thielen & Green provided full scope architectural services from initial fit planning through interior design and construction administration. Programming includes a formal waiting room, reception desk with two check-in stations, reappoint desk, doctor office, five treatment rooms, sterilization center, break room, dental equipment room, two imaging suites and an extended lab. The interior design is a modern array of warm tones and vibrant textures, giving the clinic a refreshed look to an established brand. The perimeter windows flood the clinic with natural light, contributing to the welcoming open operatories. This project was delivered under an integrated approach with Karkela Construction as the general contractor. MEP + fire protection engineering was design-build. Site selection was provided by Ryzo Commercial Realty.
This project utilized full BIM modeling for early design review, project coordination and clash detection, with a goal to limit field changes and expedite construction timelines.
