House of Pizza was approached by Coborn’s to strategize options on made-to-order dining, quick-serve, take-out, and delivery within their stores. The restaurant would cater to the retailer with brand favorites and in-house dining, focusing on a quality, local dining experience.
Thielen & Green was engaged for conceptual design services to strategize brand feasibility, design intent, and scale. Programming included an open dining area, small bar counter, retail counter, open kitchen, pick-up window, commercial kitchen and support spaces with remote storage, walk-in coolers and prep areas. The commercial kitchen was designed in collaboration with Zepole Supply Co, providing equipment coordination and full 3D support. The design carried forward House of Pizza’s recognizable identity, with wood accents to soften massing and neutral tones to compliment the surrounding aesthetic. The project is set to start construction late 2025 with a spring 2026 opening date.
This project utilized full BIM modeling for early design review, project coordination and clash detection, with a goal to limit field changes and expedite construction timelines.
