DUCK! Entertainment re-enlisted the help of Thielen & Green to open a second location after we successfully partnered together to design the company’s flagship store in Eagan. We supported the brand’s expansion to the Mall of America by designing a space nearly double in size to accommodate the growing fan base and popularity of what is now considered Minnesota’s largest claw machine arcade.
Thielen & Green provided full-scope architectural design services from initial fit planning through interior design and construction administration services. The new space features more than 100 claw machines, Gacha capsules, and a variety of Japanese-style arcade games, along with handcrafted drinks, Korean shaved ice, and snacks. Programming included a new storefront entry, large gaming floor, prize counter, commercial kitchen, order counter, and storage. Bright colors, LED accents, and bold branding bring energy to the space and create a fun, immersive experience for guests of all ages.
The project completed construction in February of 2026, under an integrated approach with Sever Construction Company as the general contractor. This project utilized full BIM modeling for early design review, project coordination and clash detection, with a goal to limit field changes and expedite construction timelines.
