Veterinary Dentistry Specialists, VDS, is an established practice with four locations across the United States. They entered the Minnesota market in response to a community need and were looking to partner with a design firm that could implement their program and assist in developing a set of standards for future growth. Thielen & Green provided full scope architectural services from programming through construction administration and interior design. Programming includes a formal reception and waiting space, four exam rooms, doctor’s offices, treatment floor, animal wards, cardiology, radiology, breakroom, lab, restrooms, storage and utility space for a full-service veterinary dental clinic. The design is a modern aesthetic with refined edges and clean lines. This project was delivered as design-build MEP under an integrated approach with Heritage Construction as the general contractor.

The project utilized full BIM modeling for early design review, project coordination and clash detection, limiting field changes and expediting construction timelines.
