Thielen & Green was contacted to help design a dream home for a semi-retired family as part of a new development located in Scandia, MN. The goal was to provide a slab-on-grade structure with ample garage storage, in a Scandinavian-modern aesthetic.
Thielen & Green provided conceptual design services to refine the layout with multiple iterations to understand flow and scale; as well as worked in conjunction with Grandemoore Homes to ensure project design was within budget. The home expresses clean lines and simplistic forms, with the introduction of natural materials of stone and hardwood in the interior.
The project utilized full BIM modeling from conceptual through project construction that was completed in 2025.
