Boston-based medical technology leader, Meditech, engaged Thielen & Green to support the third floor renovation of their existing three-story office building in Minnetonka. Thielen & Green provided full-scope architectural and interior design services from initial space planning through construction administration and furniture coordination.
All existing construction was removed down to the structure. The new layout focuses on private offices, team rooms, conference rooms and support spaces being located to the interior, with employee workstations and break out spaces located along the perimeter to take advantage of the full glass exterior. The restrooms are being updated for accessibility with updates to finishes, plumbing fixtures and lighting. A new kitchenette with booth seating and high-top tables overlooks the front entry below. The interior design includes a modern array of warm tones and updated textures for a welcomed refresh. Construction began in early 2026 and is scheduled for a June move in and turnover to the owner.
This project utilized full BIM modeling for early design review, project coordination and clash detection, with a goal to limit field changes and expedite construction timelines.
