A Minnesota entrepreneur was looking to develop an Asian-themed arcade, offering a familiar brand in response to a growing community need. DUCK! was founded, becoming Minnesota’s largest modern Asian-themed claw machine experience. DUCK! hosts dozens of games from the traditional claw machines to Gachas and many more. A true Clawcade. Thielen & Green provided full-scope architectural design services from initial fit planning through interior design and construction administration services. Programming includes a new vestibule entry, large gaming floor, bubble tea counter, prize counter, commercial kitchen, restrooms and storage. The design includes fully integrated branding, with bright colors and LED accents playing off the vibrant brand identity. The project completed construction in December of 2024, under an integrated approach with Schreiber Mullaney as the general contractor.
This project utilized full BIM modeling for early design review, project coordination and clash detection, with a goal to limit field changes and expedite construction timelines.
