PROJECT MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

The project manager leads, manages, and oversees the design and construction process of a design project under the direct supervision of the licensed architect. They monitor progress and guide the process to ensure it’s on track, often simultaneously with multiple projects. Project managers also develop, organize, and review building plans, ensuring a project meets all life safety, environmental, and code standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Perform site assessment and field surveys
  • Ability to travel to local job sites as needed
  • Manage project deliverables and deadlines
  • Lead consultant coordination and facility project meetings
  • Perform comprehensive code reviews
  • Develop/ design space plans and assist client with programming
  • Prepare scaled drawings and construction documents
  • Facilitate construction administration services including site meetings, RFIs, shop drawing review, submittals, addenda, construction bulletins and finish selections
  • Prepare punch lists at substantial completion

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional Degree, Bachelor’s in Architecture (Preferred)
  • 5-7 years’ experience
  • Strong written, organization, and verbal skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills among the project team, consultants, and client reps.
  • Proficient understanding of construction drawing/ detailing on various commercial building systems.
  • Ability to solve complex architectural design and construction concerns
  • Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of development
  • Proficient in Revit, Enscape and Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of Minnesota Codes
  • Knowledge of Revit families, BIM template a plus
