JOB DESCRIPTION
The junior interior designer is the foundation of the interior design team. Under the direct supervision of the Senior Interior Designer, the junior interior designer coordinates with the design team to plan, design, present and layout the project’s design intent. The position receives direction from leadership, interior designers and often project managers, creating visual presentations, drafting floor plans, creating 3D models, and sourcing materials for all projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work full-time, 40 hours per week
- Ability to travel to local job sites as needed
- Help maintain materials library and design resources
- Assist with creating design concepts, design presentations, and finish selections
- Help facilitate consultant coordination including furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
- Create 3D models in Revit and Enscape
- Manage project deliverables and deadlines including construction documentation
- Support construction administration services including site meetings, RFIs, shop drawing review and submittals
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience
- Strong written, organization, and verbal skills
- Detail oriented with an ability to multi-task
- Proficient in Revit, Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Revit families, BIM template a plus
- Interest in pursuing NCIDQ certification
